Gabriel Alexandru Zlate, Registered Manager, has overall responsibility for ensuring that this Statement, together with the supporting policies, procedures, safeguards and governance arrangements, is effectively implemented, monitored, reviewed and maintained in accordance with the organisation’s legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities.
Managers and senior staff are responsible for ensuring that employees understand the standards expected of them, receive appropriate information, guidance and training, and are able to recognise the potential signs of modern slavery, exploitation and human trafficking. They must also ensure that staff understand how and where to report concerns and feel able to raise those concerns without unnecessary delay.
All employees, agency workers, contractors, suppliers and business partners are expected to act with honesty and integrity, comply with relevant organisational policies and procedures, and promptly report any concern, suspicion or information that may indicate exploitation, coercion, abuse or modern slavery.
Alex C&C Healthcare Ltd recognises that preventing modern slavery requires continuous oversight and improvement. We will therefore regularly review our organisational risks, recruitment practices, employment arrangements, supplier and contractor controls, staff training, safeguarding processes and reporting mechanisms through our internal audit, governance and management-review arrangements.
Learning arising from safeguarding concerns, whistleblowing, complaints, incidents, internal audits, recruitment reviews, workforce feedback and supplier assessments will be considered through our governance processes and used to strengthen controls, improve practice and reduce the risk of exploitation occurring within our organisation or wider supply chain.
